Deputies responded to the above location in reference an ambulance assist call. An 89 year old male fell to the floor, grabbing his chest. The man’s son called 911 and began CPR. Paramedics arrived on scene and continued CPR but were not able to revive the victim.
There were no signs of foul play.
OMI was contacted and took over the investigation.

Between March 2, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. and March 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. subjects gained forced entry into the above residence. Once inside the suspects took the above listed items. Value of the items is $590.00. Case is under investigation.

Between 4:00 p.m. March 5 and 12:30 p.m. March 6 the above items were taken from the above location. Value of items taken is $2,900. Case is under investigation.

Deputies responded to the above location in regards to an alarm. Upon their arrival they noticed forced entry had been made into the business. When the key holder arrived he did not notice anything missing form inside the business, This case is still under investigation, no suspects have been identified.

Person Arrested- William York 30 yo
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a white in color 2007 Chevrolet Aveo. After running the vehicle information, it was found that the vehicle was reported stolen. Subject was arrested. During a search of the vehicle, a glass pipe used to smoke narcotics was found where the suspect was seated. Suspect was charged and booked accordingly.

Arrested: Barbara Arellano, 51yoa female, Chamisal NM
Charges: Agg. Fleeing, Agg. DWI, Reckless Driving, Battery Upon a Peace Officer (x2)
Suspect Vehicle: 2004 Silver Toyota Rav-4
Suspect was called in to RECC as a reckless driver on I-25. The suspect was reported to be throwing items out the vehicle window and failing to maintain lane of travel. The suspect vehicle was located exiting I-25 onto State Road 599. A traffic stop was attempted and the driver failed to yield. During the pursuit the driver reached speeds near 100mph and was causing other vehicles to go off the road or out of their lane of travel. While traveling through the intersection of State Road 599 and Airport Road the suspect vehicle collided with a Ford F-150 pickup. After the crash the suspect vehicle came to rest on the north side of the intersection. The suspect, who was totally naked, fled her vehicle and ran across the intersection onto Airport Road where she was taken into custody. It was learned that the driver was Barbara Arellano. Arellano was suspected of operating the vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and or drug. Arellano was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital for a blood draw which she refused. After arrival at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center, Arellano battered two correctional officer’s while being taken out of her handcuffs. Arellano was booked without further incident. Medical transport was refused on scene by the driver of the other vehicle.

Above listed vehicle was taken from the above location at approximately 2:00 p.m. Vehicle was valued at $3,500. Case is under investigation.
