0215006921 / Death investigation / 05-10-15

Location: Residence on Callejon Valdez, Northern Santa Fe County

Deceased: 81-year-old male

On 05-10-15 at approximately 1:45AM family of the deceased went into his bedroom to check on him and found him unresponsive.  Medics were called to the scene and found him to be deceased.  He suffered from several medical conditions.  The investigation revealed no signs of foul play.

0215006922 / Possession of a controlled substance / 05-10-15

Location: Santa Fe County Jail

Arrested: Patrick Herrera, 41-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

On 05-10-15 a search was conducted on the above inmate at the jail.  During the search he was found to be in possession of a brown tar like substance suspected to be Heroin.  He was booked on the above charge.

Charges: Burglary (Residential), Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property

On Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 5:16 PM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a residential burglary. Sometime during the day an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence by breaking one of the windows and removed musical instruments and electronics from the residence.

Charges: Burglary (Residential), Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property

On Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 4:01 PM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a residential burglary. Sometime during the day an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence, causing damage to the door, and removed cash and jewelry from the residence.

Case #0215006873, Aggravated assault against a household member

Victim: Male, 51, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Kristin Johnson, 49, Santa Fe, NM

On Friday, May 8, 2015 at 9:34 PM, Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. During the argument suspect threatened the victim with a deadly weapon. Victim did not receive any injuries as a result of this incident. Suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Case #0215006852, Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

Location: 3100 block of Agua Fria, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: Female, 45, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Miranda Martinez, 36, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Battery upon a peace officer, Battery, Possession of a controlled substance, Criminal damage to property, Larceny

On Friday, May 8, 2015 at approximately 2:39 PM, Deputies were dispatched to location in reference to a disorderly conduct. It was discovered that the suspect pushed the victim, then armed herself with a deadly weapon and threatened the victim. Suspect also removed several items belonging to roommates and damaged several items at the location. Suspect was arrested, transported and taken to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. While at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility the suspect was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. While the controlled substance was being removed from her possession the suspect battered one of the correction officers. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without further incident.

On Friday, May 8, 2015 at 1:24 PM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a fraud. Victim advised an unknown suspect(s) opened a Paypal account using his bank account information and social security number and withdrew money from his bank account.

0215006824 / Criminal Sexual penetration of a Minor / 05-07-15

Location: Residence off Old Las Vegas Highway

Victims: 3 juvenile females

Suspect: Adult male

On 05-07-15 three juvenile females reported to a family member, a male relative had been sexually assaulting them for the past few years.  Case is still under investigation.

0215006812 /Burglary, larceny / 05-06-15

Location: E Arroyo Alamo, Santa Fe, NM, 87506 (La Puebla area)

Stolen: electronics

  Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to an address on E. Arroyo Alamo in reference to a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim who stated that on todays date between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into the victims home. Once entry was gained suspect(s) took an electronic from within the home. This case remains under investigation.

Location: # 28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe NM 87508 (Santa Fe area)

Arrested: Hector Ahumada  26 years old, Santa Fe, NM, 87508

  Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center in reference to a reported inmate found in possession of a controlled substance. Contact was made with staff who advised that inmate Hector Ahumada was found in possession of an item later determined to be a narcotic. The substance was given to the Santa Fe Sheriff Deputy for testing. Inmate Ahumada was charged accordingly.
