2021009289/ UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF A FIREARM INTO A LICENSED LIQUOR ESTABLISHMENT, POSS. OF CONTROLLED SUSTANCE-COCAINE

ARRESTEE: JOSEPH GIBERT MOYA- 41 YEAR OLD, H/M, TAOS, NM RESIDENT.

CHARGES: UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF A FIREARM INTO A LICENSED LIQUOR ESTABLISHMENT, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE- COCAINE and POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE -FENTANYL

On 12-27-2021 at about 10:01 p.m., deputies responded to the Buffalo Thunder Casino; in reference to a non-native male found in the casino with a pistol by Pojoaque Pueblo Tribal Police. The male was identified as Joseph Gilbert Moya. Moya was also found to be in possession of cocaine and fentanyl. Moya was taken into custody and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

2021009261/ Unlawful Taking of a moor vehicle & Receiving or retaining stolen property

Location: 30 Buffalo Thunder Trail

Arrestee: Abelardo Fernandez- 42 year old- H/M from El Rancho  Santa Fe County resident.

On 12-26-2021 at about 12:01 am, RECC dispatched deputies to 3O Buffalo Thunder Trail; in reference to stolen motor vehicle located on the property. The occupants were being detained by Pojoaque Pueblo Tribal Police. Upon further investigation, it was determined Fernandez had taken the vehicle without permission from the registered owner. Fernandez was taken into custody on the above charges and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center without incident.

2021009230/Agg Battery HHM, Child Abuse, Agg Assault/12-23-21

Location: Vista Barrancas, Santa Fe County NM

Arrested : Carlos Martinez

Deputies responded to the above listed address regarding a domestic dispute. An investigation determined that the victim was struck in the face by suspect. Suspect also obtained a shotgun and chambered a round. This occurred in front of the children present on scene, placing them in danger. Victim was in fear of being shot. Suspect proceeded to break several items inside the residence. Suspect was taken into custody and booked in ADC for Aggravated Battery on a HHM, 2 Counts of Child Abuse, Aggravated assault on a HHM, Criminal Damage to Property on a HHM and Negligent use of a firearm while intoxicated. 

2021009226/Driving while license revoked/12-23-21

Location: US84-285 and MM 175, Santa Fe County NM

Arrested : Waldo J. Martinez

Deputy assisted Tesuque PD on a traffic stop. It was discovered that a non-native driver was driving on a revoked license with an arrest clause. Driver did not have an interlock in the above described vehicle. Driver was arrested. Vehicle released to a licensed passenger. Driver transported and booked at SFADF without incident.

Suspect: Celso Diaz-Rodas

Location: US 84-285 mile post 168

The suspect was stopped for a traffic violation. The suspect was later found to be impaired. Open containers of alcoholic beverages were located in the vehicle. The suspect agreed to chemical testing and tested above a .16. The suspect was booked without incident.

2021009214/License Revoked,Possession/12-22-21

Location: US84-285 and MM 179, Santa Fe County NM

Arrested : Charlotte Sandoval

On 12/22/2021, Deputies were dispatched to above mentioned location for a traffic stop that had been conducted by Pojoaque PD. It was determined that the non-native driver of the vehicle had a revoked NM driver's license, no valid registration and no proof of insurance. Suspect was arrested and transported to ADC, where a search located drugs on the suspect.

Suspect: Jose Villa

The suspect was stopped for a traffic violation and the driver/suspect was found to be impaired. The suspect refused chemical testing. The suspect was booked without incident.  

 

2021009200/Unattended Death/12-21-2021

Location: 200 Block of CR84, Santa Fe County NM

Victim: Alfred Carl Lujan

On 12/21/2021, Deputies were dispatched to above mentioned location for a 65 year old male, not conscious and not breathing. Life saving measures were initiated, without success. The victim had a long list of medical issues and no foul play could be determined.

2021009113/ Shoplifting/ Receiving or Retaining Stolen property

Location: 4000 Block of Cerrillos Rd. Santa Fe, NM

Arrestee: Timothy Peshlakai- 34 year old/ Native American/ Homeless Male/ Ship rock, Arizona

Charges: Shoplifting (Under $500)/ Receiving or Retraining stolen property

On 12-18-2021 at about 10:47 pm, Cpl. Clay Cullison observed two male subjects lurking about some hedges. During an investigation, It was learned the two males were in possession of stolen property from a nearby department store. Timothy Peshlakai was arrested at the scene. The second male fled on scene and is still at large. The property was valued at $499.99. Timothy Peshlakai and this second male were seen shoplifting the property. Some additional stolen property was located nearby; it too, had been shoplifted from the same store. All property recovered was found to be valued at $975.90. This case is still under investigation.
