Case# 0210005697 Breaking and Entering

Deputy Assigned:  Deputy Donald Romero

Commander Entering:  Sergeant Joe McLaughlin

Location:  2800 Block Gunnison Road (Riverside MHP), Santa Fe, NM

Victim:  Humberto Marquez, 65, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect Vehicle:  Black, Unknown Make, SUV

On 7-11-2010 at 2:10 AM person(s) unknown, utilizing unknown means gained entry to a residence at the location through the rear door.  Once entry had been gained,     person(s) unknown removed a washer and dryer and placed them on the gtound outside of the residence.  Person(s) unknown then fled the area in the suspect vehicle.  The residence is unoccuppied.  The washer and dryer were returnwed to the residence and the rear door was secured.  There were no signs of forced entry.

Caase# 0210005694 Death Investigation

Deputy Assigned:  Deputy Ray Villanueva

Commander Entering:  Sergeant Joe McLaughlin

Location:  Avila Road (El Dorado), Santa Fe, NM

Victim:  Frances Burke, 74, Santa Fe, NM

On 7-10-2010 at 10"53 PM deputies responded to a report of the victim being unresponsive  and bleeding from the mouth at the location.  Upon the arrival of Law Enforcement and Emergency Medical Personel advanced life support measures were taken but the victim was unable to be revived.  At 12:39 AM, 7-11-2010 Deputy Medical Investigator Susan Laskonski pronounced the victim deceased.  There were no signs of foul play.

Victim:  Christina Colvin, 24, Santa Fe, NM

Between 3:30 PM on 7-10-2010 and 12:45 AM on 7-11-2010 person(s) unknown, utilizing unknown means gained entry to a residence at the location through a living room window.  Once entry was gained, person(s) unknown removed a flatscreen TV and a laptop computer.

Suspect: Zackary Smith  Age: 41  Santa Fe

Zackary Smith was arrested for DWI after being stopped on I-25 for traffic lane violation and showing signs of impairment.  His Bac is pending blood draw.

Victim reported that sometime between 11:00 PM on 07-09-10 and 12:30 PM on 07-10-10 someone gained entry to his residence through an unlocked door and stole his 56 inch flat screen TV.

Vehicle:  Brown, 2000, Ford, Pick-up

Suspect:  Oscar Chavez-Portillo, 37, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Roadways Laned for Traffic

On 7-10-2010 at 1:02 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the location and he made a wide radius right turn and was unable to maintain a single lane of travel.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor  and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .16 or greater.

0210005675/ Resisting or Obstructing an Officer/ 07-10-10

Location: Camino Vista Aurora- Santa Fe

Arrested: Patricia Martinez age: 20

Charge: Resisting or Obstructing an Officer

On 07-10-10 Deputies responded to the above location for a domestic dispute. While investigating the domestic, the above individual grabbed a knife from the kitchen and ran to the bathroom. The individual proceeded to struggle with officers and was subsequently tased. The individual was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County jail and booked accordingly, after obtaing a medical clearance from St. Vincent's Hospital.

0210005672/ D.W.I./ 07-10-2010

Deputy Assigned: J.B. Nissen

Location: Lopez Lane and Prairie Dog Loop- Santa Fe

Arrested: Willam Romo-Perez age: 20

Charges: D.W.I., Driving on a Suspended or Revoked License, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic

On 07-10-10 the above individual was observed driving a black in color Chevy Silverado. The vehicle was observed crossing over from the northbound lane of Lopez Lane and into the southbond lane almost striking a marked Santa Fe County Sheriff's Unit. Contact was made with the driver, who displayed signs of intoxication. The driver was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, during which he displayed signs if impairment. The driver submitted to chemical testing with a result of .15.14 BrAC. The driver was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center and booked accordingly.

Location: McCurdy Rd/ State Road 291  Espanola

Suspect: Timothy Trujillo   Age: 21   Chimayo NM

Timothy Trujillo was stopped for traffic violation and it was discovered that his license is revoked for a prior DWI.  He was booked into the SF. Co. Jail without incident and His vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County Seizure Ordinance.

Location: Wildflower way (La Tierra area)

Stolen: two LCD televisions, 10 credit cards, US currency, US passport, Bi fold wallet

Victim reported between 0800 and 1625 hours an unknown person forced entry into residence by prying open a window and removing a screen. Once inside suspect(s) removed above listed items valued at about $ 1956.00
