Deputy assigned: Deputy Phil Lahargoue

Commander entering: Cpl Daniel Chavez

Location: Zepol Road - Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Jose Cruz - age 36, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies responded to the above location at about 1:30am on 5/16/09, regarding a domestic altercation. The investigation showed that the above suspect battered his wife with a beer bottle and by punching her. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into ADC accordingly.

0209004176 DWI 05-15-09

Location: Los Pinos Rd. SFNM

Arrested: George Vega 30yoa

On the above date, the above named officer conducted a traffic stop on the defendant for failure to maintain his lane of traffic at the above location.  Upon making contact, the defendant displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.  Defedant had a BrAC of .19 and .17, and he was transported and booked a the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center.

Location: 2100 Block of Camino Polvoso / Rufina & Agua Fria Area

Stolen: Black HP Laptop, valued at $2,000.00

The victim reported that a person entered her home through an unlocked door and removed above listed item.  The victim believes that a relative may have stolen the computer due to inquiries by the suspect about the victim's computer password the night before the theft.  The case is under investigation.

Location: 8380 Cerrillos Road / Coach Store (Outlet Malls)

Stolen: 3 Handbags valued at $904.00

A native american female entered the Coach store and inquired about several bags. When the clerk turned away, the female grabbed three bags and fled from the store on foot.

Case #:0209004168 / Aggravated Assault / Date: 5-14-09

Location: 4650 Airport Road / Country Club Gardens MHP

Victim: 13 yoa male

Suspect: Unknown

The victim walked to an arroyo to fetch dirt for planting purposes. He walked upon an unidentified male who threatened to cut him and threw a rock at the victim.  The victim was struck by the rock and received a minor injury.  The area was searched but the suspect was not located.

Suspect: Pending

 On the above date deputies were dispatched to an address at Calle Cantando reference to a male subject down and was not breathing or responsive in any way. Paramedics tried to revive the subject but were unable to. The incident is under investigation.

0209004143Death Investigation

Location of incident: 14 David Dr. Edgewood, NM

Victim: 52 YR OLD FEMALE

On 5/14/09, approx 2:56 am Deputies responded to above address in reference to a female that was unconscious and not breathing. Paramedics worked for over 1 hour trying to revive female, but were unable to. Victim had just been released 3 hours ago from Presbyterian Medical Center after having a heart attack. OMI arrived and took over the investigation. No signs of foul play. Investigation continues.

Arrested: Patrick Maes 23yoa

On the above date, the above named officer responded to the above location reagrding a battery and motor vehicle crash.  upon arrival officer made contact wit the suspect who had fled the scene on foot.  The suspect was located by Santa Fe City Police, hiding behind a fence.  He admitted to driving the vehicle and being involved in the crash.  Defendant displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.  Defendant had a BrAC of .15 and 14.

0209004117/ Burglary (Residence)/ 05-13-09

Deputy Assigned: T. Benavidez

Location of Incident: Buffalo Grass Road  (Airport Road) Santa Fe, NM 87507

Suspect(s): Pending

 

Victim reported that she left her residence at 9:00 a.m. on 5-13-09 and returned home at approximately 12:21 p.m. same date to find the back door of her residence kicked in.  Upon deputies arrival it was discovered the the residence had been burglarized.  A 52" Plasma flat screen TV, Computer, X-Box game system, surround sound system, Sony PSP and several DVD's and games were stolen from the residence.  During the course of the investigation the stolen property was located and recovered from inside a culvert in an arroyo near the residence.  No suspect or witness information is available at this time.

 On the above date the victim stated that she was on vacation and she had a friend taking care of her residence. During this time the house sitter's son stole some checks and forged her name and was able to take $900.00 out of her account.
