0209001452/ Fraud/ 02-16-09

Location: Cactus Ranch Road- Edgewood.

On 08-14-07 and 10-23-07 several transactions occurred where the victims were tricked into purchasing land and home deals in New Mexico and California. The victims mortgaged their house and wired a total of $379,500.00 to two brothers, who were brokering the deal. The victims had not had any further contact with the suspects after the money was transferred.

0209001458/ Battery Against a Household Member/ 02-16-09

Charges: Battery Upon a Household Member

Arrested: Joseph Gonzales age: 19

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference a possible overdose. During the investigation it was learned that the above listed person was in a physical altercation with his wife. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

 On the above date the victim reported that at 10:20 AM someone stole his 1993 Ford  Bronco from his driveway. He noticed it leaving but didnt notice who was taking it.

On the above date the Manager to Pro Build reported that sometime beween 02-13-09 and 02-16-09 someone broke into the business at the above location and destroyed the vending machines. It is unknown if anything was taken.

 On the above date the Security Officer at the Santa Fe Community College called our agency to report that sometime between 02-13-09 and 02-16-09 someone stole some computer equipment from one of the rooms at the above location.

Arrested: Raul Bautista-Ontiveros - age 47, Santa Fe, NM

The above driver was involved in a motor vehicle crash, which involved injuries. The driver exhbited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He submitted to a blood draw and was booked into ADC. He was additionally charged with reckless driving and no insurance.

CASE 0209001429 / POSSESSION OF COCAINE - POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - DWI - DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED REVOKED LICENSE - ROAD

LOCATION:  STATE ROAD 14, HIGHWAY #599, SANTA FE AREA

ARRESTED:  MICHAEL CHAVEZ, 30 YEARS OF AGE MALE

CHARGES:  POSSESSION OF COCAINE, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, SUSPENDED REVOKED LICENSE, OPEN CONTAINER, ROADWAYS LANED FOR TRAFFIC, DWI

On this date, suspect was observed driving a motor vehicle and was not able to stay in his lane of the roadway, east bound on Valle Vista.  Suspect was stopped for traffic violation and was found to be under the influence at the time.  Suspect was found to have drug paraphernalia and a open bottle of alcohol.  Suspect was found to have a suspended drivers license.  Suspect was arrested and taken to the Adult Detention Center where officers located a baggie of cocaine on his person.  Suspect was booked on the above listed charges.  Passenger in motor vehicle was issued a criminal citations for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.  Vehicle was impounded.

The above driver was stopped for failing to maintain a lane. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He submitted to a breath test and the results were .12 and .12. The driver was booked into ADC accordingly.

The above individual was arrested on 02-15-09 after it was learned that he had punched his family member in the face during a Domestic Dispute. The argument had started over alcohol. The above individual was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

0209001419/Aggravated Assault on a Household Member/ 02-15-2009

Location: Santeros Road.

Arrested: John LeRouge age: 25

Charges: Aggravated Assault against a household member, Battery against a household member, and Interference with Communications.

Deputies responded to the above location on 02-15-09 in reference to a Domestic Dispute. During the investigation it was learned that the aboved individual had pulled a knife on his relative and tried to stab at him. The relative was able to protect himself. The above subject also had physically fought with relatives prior to leaving the area. The above subject also attempted to take away a cell phone in order to keep Law Enforcement from being called. The subject was located and placed under arrest. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.
