Victim reports (3) ulocked vehicles were entered on the property and a small amount of change along with (2) pair of sunglasses are reported missing.  Case is under investigation.

0216002740 – Aggravated Burglary - 02-23-16

Location: Frasco Way – Santa Fe - NM

Narrative: Victim reported that sometime between February 1, 2016 and February 22, 2016 someone stole two handguns from his residence.  The guns were in a locked safe in the residence.  No forced entry was noted to either the residence or to the safe.

Narrative: Victim reported that while he was out shopping someone must have entered his residence through an unlocked door and stole a handgun and a holster that were left out on a table.

0216002871 / Attempted burglary, Battery / 02-25-16

Location: Garage in the Casa Rufina Apartments

On 02-25-16 at around 2:20am a security guard conducting a patrol of the apartments noticed two Hispanic males crawling out from under a partially opened garage door.  They attempted to flee and the security guard was able to catch one of the males.  The other male kicked the security guard in the leg and both males fled the area on foot.  Nothing appeared to have been taken from the garage.

Victim reported he had purchased a vehicle after seeing the vehicle in a classified ad listed in a local newspaper. Victim reported he sent over $3000.00 via prepaid credit cards to pay for the vehicle and has yet to receive the vehicle or have contact from the seller. Investigation is ongoing.

Arrested: Andrew Apodaca 20 yoa male Santa Fe

Charges: DWI, Reckless Driving, Possession of a controlled substance

On February 24, 2016 at 5:05 pm suspect was seen operating a vehicle southbound on NM 14 passing in a no passing zone almost striking vehicles. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver stopped at the parking lot of the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center. Contact was made with the driver who admitted to using marijuana and prescirption pills before driving. Signs of impairment were noted during field sobriety tests. Suspect was arrested and booked into the jail without further incident.

Location: 30 Buffalo Thunder, Buffalo Thunder Casino

Arrested: Amanda C. Telles, age 25

Deputies were dispatched to the Buffalo Thunder Casino in regards to a Domestic. Upon arrival deputies were advised the above defendant had batter her partner while in the casino.  While she was being evaluated by medics the above defendant also battered a casino securtiy staff.  The above defendant was arrested and transported to Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Stolen: Miscellaneous Jewelry

  Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on East Gold Road in reference to a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim who reported suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into the victims home, once entry was gained, suspect(s) took miscellaneous jewelry from within the home. This case remains under investigations.

0216002857, Death Investigation, 02.24.16

Location: Camino Tres Cruces (Tesuque)

Deputies responded to the the above location in regards to an assistance with ambulance.  When deputies arrived they learned a female age 82 had passed away.  No foul play suspected, case still under investigation.

Deputy was dispatched to location in reference to an inmate being found in possession of a controlled substance. Upon Deputy arrival, it was determined that the inmate had in her possession a controlled substance after it was field tested and was re booked into the jail with the additional charge.
