0216002486, Warrant Service X 2, 02.17.2016

Location: Camel Rock

Arrested: Eugene Robert Lovato, Age 41

Deputies were dispatched to the area of the Camel Rock Rest Area in regards to a suspicious vehicle.  When depuites arrived in the area they located the vehicle.  It was learned the above occupant had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.  He was arrested without incident. 

0216002482, Death Investigation, 02.17.2016

Deputy Assigned: Jonathan Jaramillo

Location: South Pinon ( Silverado Subdivion)

Decedent: Male, age 67

Deputies responded to the above location in regards to a ambulance assitance.  The Male was unresponsive and medics were unsucesful in their attempts to revive the male. No foul play and case is closed.

0216002479 / revoked drivers license ,speeding / 02-17-16

Location: US 84/285 mile marker 171, Santa Fe, NM, 87506

Arrested: Jon Cheresposy 28 years old, Espanola, NM, 87532

  Santa Fe County  Sheriff's Deputy R. Garcia observed a vehicle traveling on US 84/285 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the above listed driver. A drivers license inquiry was conducted at which time it was discovered the drivers driving privileges were revoked, arrest persuant. The driver was arrested without incident and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. The drivers vehicle was seized accordingly.

Location: Plaza Del Corazon       Santa Fe,NM

Deputies were dispatched to location in reference to an altercation. Upon arrival it was determined that the victim had been struck by the suspect with a bottle while at a gathering. The case is under investigation.

0216002377 – Larceny – 02-11-16

Location:  Santa Fe Ski Area

Victim stated that he left his ski equipment in an unsecured while he went to get food from the concession area.  When he returned an hour later he found his equipment missing.

The larceny occurred on 02-11-16 but was not reported to Law Enforcement until 02-16-16

Total value of missing items: $ 1,750.00.

0215009022 – Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to distribute - 02-15-16

Deputy Assigned:  A. Gutierrez

Commander Entering:  Cpl. R. J. Clark

Location: Camino Apolonia

Arrested Person:  Ryan – 42 – Santa Fe, NM

Charges:

Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to distribute

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Deputies responded to a residence to do a welfare check on a male that was reported to have been acting unusual and may have gone into a wooded area with a handgun.  During a check of the residence for the subject a Marijuana growing operation was observed in two rooms.

A short time later the subject returned home and an investigation on the growing operation was conducted.

The subject was subsequently arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charges.

 

Case#: 0216002365/DWI/ 02-16-2016

Location: NM 599/ Camino De Los Montoya, Santa Fe NM

Arrested: Jaime Treto 23 year old male, Wright Wyoming

Charges: DWI, Speeding, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Deputies observed a Silver Nissan Altima at the above location speeding.  The vehicle was also reported to have been involved in a domestic.  Upon contact with the driver he showed signs of impairment.  Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were adminstered and the driver showed signs of impairment.  Driver was then placed under arrest.  Above suspect was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory and agreed to chemical testing resulting in BrAC 0.10/ 0.10.  A vehicle inventory was conducted where a pipe and grinder were found within the vehicle.  The above suspect was transported and booked accordingly on the above charges without further incident. 

0216002351-Possession of Marijuana-2-15-16

Location- US 84/285 and West Frontage Road  Santa Fe, NM

Person Arrested- Robert Kempenich 56 yo Santa Fe, NM

Above listed person was stopped for a traffic violation. During the encounter Deputy smelled the odor of marijuana, consent to search the vehicle was granted and marijuana was located. Subject was arrested and booked accordingly.

0216002350-Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property- 2-15-16

Items taken- electronics

Between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 2:55 p. unknown subjects gained forced entry into a vehicle at the above location and took the above listed items. value of items taken and damage is $1,000.  Case is under investigation.

Person Arrested- Leon Ortiz 51 yo Santa Fe, NM

Above suspect was arrested due to having an outstanding warrant for failing to pay fines out of Santa Fe Magistrate Court.  Subject booked accordingly.
