The above subject was arrested without incident on an outstanding warrant out of the Metroploitan Court (County of Bernalillo). Subject was re-booked into the Santa Fe County Jail

Suspect: Justin Leyba, 28 years old, Chimayo,NM

Charge: Possession of a controlled substance

Deputy responded to Santa Fe Adult Detention Center in reference to above suspect in possession of a controlled substance. The suspect admitted to having possession of the controlled substance. The above suspect was re-booked accordingly.

Stolen: Furniture

Suspect(s): PendingVictim reported sometime between October 10, 2015 and October 14, 2015, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the residence and stole the above mentioned items. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

0215016512-Possession of a Controlled Substance-10-20-15

Deputy Assigned- J. Talache

Location- Placita Road and State Road 75 Santa Fe, NM

Arrested Person- Daniel Martinez 25 yo male Chimayo, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the above area reference to a welfare check on a male inside of a vehicle that was parked on the side of the roadway.  Upon making contact with the driver, a clear baggie with a white powdery substance was located in plain view in the center console of the vehicle.  The driver was subsequently arrested and booked into the Adult detention facility.

Items Taken- Miscallanous Electronics valued at $500.00.

 

Between October 17, 2015  at 6 a.m. and October 20, 2015 at 6 a.m., subjects entered the above property and stole miscallanous electronics.  Case is under investigation.

Location: Avenida Vista Grande, Santa Fe NM (El Dorado area)

Stolen: Ford F-250 tailgate

Suspect(s): Pending

Victim reported on today's date between 6:00 pm and 6:10 pm, unknown suspect(s) stole above mentioned item from his 2003 Ford pickup while parked in the parking lot.  The victim valued the tailgate to be approximately $800.00. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

 

0215016447 / Burglary, Criminal damage to property / 10-19-15

Location: El Gancho Fitness Center located off Old Las Vegas Highway and El Gancho Way

Damaged property: Glass door, wooden cabinets and a safe. Total value of $2,600

 

On 10-19-15 just after midnight someone entered the fitness center by breaking a large glass door.  Once inside they pried open a wooden cabinet containing a safe and pried the safe open.  The safe did not contain anything of value and the business does not keep any money on site.  Nothing was reported stolen from the business.   

 

0215016438, Battery on a House Hold Member, Resisting Evading Obstructing, 10/18/2015

Location: 17700 block of US 84/285 (Pojoaque Area)

Arrested: Johnathan Chavez, 29yoa male, Santa Fe NM

Charges: Battery on a house hold member, DWI, Resisting/Evading/Obstructing

On Sunday, October 18th the above subject was learned to have battered his girlfriend earlier in the day.  The subject was seen driving a motorcycle in the area and contact was made.  Once contact was made the subject fled on foot from a Deputy and was Tazed while fleeing.  The subject then escaped out of the patrol unit while it was parked and he fled once again before being caught and placed back into the unit.  The subject showed several signs of intoxication and was booked on the above charges accordingly. Subject refused the NM implied consent act and did not provide a breath sample.   

Case # 0215016435 Agg. battery on a household member 10-18-15

Location: Arroyo Seco Circle (Espanola NM )

Suspect: Jacqueline Wheeler 29 yoa female (Santa Fe NM)

Victim reported he and his child's mother were arguing when she pushed him. Due to the push Victim was stepping back when he fell to the ground. It was later discovered victim had fractured a bone in his leg and ankle as a result of the push. An arrest warrant was issued for the suspect as she could not be immediately located at time of report.
