Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on Colina Way in reference to a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim who stated that sometime between 07-07-15 at 5:30 pm and today at 10:00am suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into the victims home, once entry was gained suspect(s) took electronics and furniture from within the home. This case remains under investigation.

Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on Calle Alejandra in reference to a reported fraud. Contact was made with the victim who stated that she recieved an email in reference to a friend requesting money. After the money was sent it was discovered that the email was a scam. This case remains under investigation.

Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Santa Fe Petroglyphs parking area in reference to a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim who stated that on todays date between 2:00pm and 4:20 pm suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into the victims vehicle. Once entry was gained suspect(s) took various credit cards and US currency from within the vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on Derek James Drive in reference to a reported fraud. Contact was made with the victim who stated that she made a purchase on the internet. After purchasing the item the victim never recieved the item. This case remains under investigation.

Arrested: Joseph Herrera 39 yoa male (Santa Fe NM)
Seized Vehicle: 1997 Ford Taurus
Deputies were dispatched to a minor traffic crash. On scene the suspect was located and appeared to be intoxicated. Suspect submitted to SFST's and signs of impairment were observed. The suspect was arrested and refused chemical testing. Suspect was taken to the Santa Fe County Detention Center where he was booked accordingly. The suspects vehicle was seized due to a prior DWI conviction.

Victim reported to Deputy that an unknown person stole her vehicle from the listed location. The above suspect had been arrested on unrelated crimes hours prior, while operating the victims vehicle. Suspect was interviewed and admitted to taking the vehicle. Suspect was rebooked into jail with the additional charges

On the above date deputies were dispatched to the above area. Above subject was located in control of a vehicle and was found to be intoxicated. SFST's were conducted and she showed signs of impairment. Subject was subsequently arrested and booked at the adult detention center.

Charges: Unlawful taking of MV, Possession of Burglary Tools, Receiving Stolen Property, Concealing Identity and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Arrested #2: Vincent Wheeler 21 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Unlawful Taking of MV, Possession of Burglary Tools, Receiving Stolen Property, Resisting Evading or Obstructing an Officer and Reckless Driving
Deputies observed a White in color Toyota at the intersection of St. Francis and Rabbit Road fail to stop at a stop sign and traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop, which led to the driver Vincent Wheeler jumping out of the vehicle without stopping the vehicle at the above location. The passanger Arthur Ortega stopped the vehicle at which time was detained until further investigation. Mr. Wheeler fled on foot and was located shortly after in the vicinty. Through further investigation it was found that the City of Santa Fe was already conducting an investigation for a larceny involving the vehicle Deputies stopped. The vehicle was also found to be stolen. The items stolen in the City of Santa Fe Police Department case was recovered in the vehicle. A screwdriver and altered key were found in the vehicle, which was used to steal the vehicle. Mr. Ortega concealed his identity by using his brother's name, but was later positively idenitified. Both suspects were arrested and booked on the above charges. While Mr. Ortega was being searched at the jail a syringe was found concealed on his person.

Arrested: Marlon Reano, 36-year-old male from Santa Domingo Pueblo
On 07-07-15 at approximately 1:15AM Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at the Casa Rufina apartments. The caller stated a vehicle struck another vehicle when pulling into a parking space and the driver was still sitting inside the vehicle. Upon arrival contact was made with Mr. Marlon who was asleep in the driver's seat of a 2006 Chrysler Sebring. He was awakened and displayed signs of intoxication. A DWI investigation was conducted and he was subsequently arrested for DWI. He refused to submit to chemical testing and was booked for Aggravated DWI.

Santa Fe County Sheriif's Deputies responded to an address on Entrada La Cienega in reference to a reported larceny. Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim who stated that between April 01, 2015 and June 28, 2015 suspect(s) took various tools from within her home. The victim stated that several individuals had been inside her home during this time. This case remains under investigation.
