Case#: 0213014651/ Possession of a controlled substance to wit: Heroin, Driving while license suspended-revoked/ Date: 9/16/13

Location:  Interstate 25 mm 276, Santa Fe, NM (La Cienega)

Suspect:  Josal Ovida, age 26, Albuquerque, NM

Charged:  Possession of a controlled substance to wit:  Heroin, Driving while license suspended/revoked

On 9/16/13 deputies responded to above area in reference to a reckless driver.  Contact was made with the suspect vehicle and the suspect who was exiting the vehicle.  Suspect admitted to driving.  A driver's license inquiry was ran on the suspect who had a revoked driver's license with the arrest clause.  Inside the vehicle in a cup holder was a syringe with a brown in color substance.  The substance was field tested and tested positive for Heroin.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  The vehicle was seized as per Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5.

Case# 0213014603 Recovered Stolen Motor Vehicle

Commander Entering:  Lieutenant Joe McLaughlin

Location:  25 Bisbee Court, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle:  Gray, 1979, Chevy, Pick up

On Monday, September 16, 2013 1:38 AM the vehicle was observed at the location with the hood up and doors opened.  Three unidentified males were then observed running from the vehicle.  C0ontact was made with the vehicle owner who did not know that the vehicle had been taken.

Items Stolen: Electronics, NM ID

Victim reported to Deputy that sometime between September 13, 2013 at 11:00 pm and September 14, 2013 at 3:00 pm, unknown person(s) gained entry into the vehicle and stole the listed type of items. Case is under Investigation.

0213014522 / Criminal Damage to Property / 9-14-2013

Victim reported to Deputy that sometime between September 7, 2013 and September 14, 2013, unknown persons damaged sculptures placed in her front yard. by tossing them to the ground. Case is under investigation.

0213014508 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property / 09-14-2013

Location: Residence on Calle Debra

Stolen: $3,000 cash

Sometime between 1:00pm and 10:00pm on September 13th someone entered the victim's residence through an unlocked window.  The suspect pryed open the door to a safe in the residence and stole $3,000 cash from inside the safe.

Location: 6629 Airport Road (Family Dollar)

Stolen: Swiffer Wet Jet, RCA electronic devices

On 09-15-13 at about 4:00AM an unidentified male entered the Family Dollar store on Airport Road by throwing a rock through the front glass door.  The suspect entered the store and stole the above items.

Arrested: Frankie Martinez 38 years old, Santa Fe, NM, 87505

 Victim stated that while performing his duties the suspect began to fight with the victim. During the struggle the suspect bit the victim on his arm. The victim had an injury consistent with the incident described. The suspect was arrested and re-booked accordingly.

Case#: 0213014473/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 9/13/13

Location:  residence off of Adam Drive, Edgewood, NM

On 9/13/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. unknown persons gained entry into her residence by kicking the door.  Victim stated that unknown persons took a flatscreen TV, miscellaneous music equipment, and a camcorder.  Estimated value of items taken is $4,000.00.  Estimated damage amount is $300.00.

Case#: 0213014280/ Driving while license revoked, Speeding/ Date: 9/10/13

Location:  Agua Fria & Camino Juliana

Suspect:  Rick Arthur Ortiz, age 47, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Speeding, Driving while license revoked

On 9/10/13 deputy observed a vehicle traveling Westbound on Agua Fria at a high rate of speed.  Vehicle was tracked on radar going 43 mph in a 30 mph zone.  A traffic stop was conducted in which contact was made with the suspect.  A driver's license inquiry was made and revealed that the suspect had a suspended/revoked driver's license with the arrest clause.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  The vehicle was seized as per Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5.
