On April 18, 2008 school personnel at Ramirez Thomas Elementary reported a possible inapropriate act involving a 12 year old female student and a family member which may of occurred sometime in November 2007. CYFD has also been notified and this case is currently under investigation.

Victim reported that sometime between 4-17-08 and 4-18-08 and unknown perosn(s) stole his utility trailer as it was parked unsecured in the driveway of his residnece. The utility trailer which is a black in color 1999 16' Towmaster bumper pull bearing NM license plate 7776TRD has been entered into NCIC. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Location of Incident: 42 Bisbee Court (Creamland)
Taken/recovered 2008 Chevrolet Creamland truck white in color New Mexico 426-PHZ
On this date at approximately between 3:30p.m. and 4:00p.m., a burglary occurred at the Creamland Dairy Distributors. Taken was the above mentioned vehicle and the business was broken into along with two other trucks. Witness observed two male juveniles in the truck driving off. The vehicle was located a short time later in the City Limits abandoned.

Location: Coleman Outlet Store 8380 Cerrillos Rd. SFNM
On the above date, deputies responded to the above location regarding an activated alarm. Upopn arrival it was learned that the south facing window to the store had been broken. Deputies cleared the store and met with the store manager. After loooking through the store it did not appear that any items were stolen. Deputies were able to collect partial latent prints from the window area.

Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, No Drivers License, Concealing Identity
On 4/19/08, Driver was stopped for weaving, and was found to be intoxicated. Breath test was .19/.19. Suspect charged, booked accordingly.

Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, No insurance, No drivers license
0n 4/18/08, Suspect was stopped for weaving and was found to be intoxicated, after field sobriety tests conducted. Suspects Breath test was .18/.18. Suspect booked, charged accordingly

Arrested: Jerrell Chavez DOB: 2/6/73
Victim: Female (wife) 39 yoa
The above subject was arrested without incident after being involved in a Domestic Battery upon his wife. The subject also did not allow victim to leave residence or allow use of telephone. Victim sustained visible injuries. Subject was charged with false Imprisonment, Battery on aHousehold Member, and Interference with communication. Subject transported to Santa Fe County jail and booked in on the above charges, Bond pending arraignment.

Victim: 39 year old male
On this date victim was cleaning his carpet at his residence and was using gasoline to remove paint in the carpet got near the water heater and fumes were sparked by the water heater causing the victim to sustain flash burns to his facial area, hands and arms. Transported to St. Vincents treated and hospitalized in stable condition. State Fire Marshal Office assumed investigation of fire scene.

Location: Airport Road & South Meadows, Santa Fe, NM
On 4//18/08, deputies responded to a male wanting to file a report in reference to a male following him and wanting to beat him up. Victim advised that he was driving in the above listed area when a male subject in a red Chevy Blazer pulled along side of him and tried to run him off the roadway. Victim stated that he continued to drive home and the suspect vehicle followed behind him. Victim stated that he and his girlfriend identified the driver of the suspect vehicle to be the girlfriend's brother.

Location: 17 East Pine, Santa Fe, NM (Silverado Subdivision)
Victim: George Tapia, age 30, Santa Fe, NM
On 4/19/08, deputies responded to the above address regarding a request by medical personnel for an assistance. Upon arrival, Medic 60 was performing CPR on the victim and were able to resusitate the victim who was being transported to St. Vincent Hospital where he later expired. There was no foul play involved.
