On 04-15-08 the above listed person was arrested after it was learned that he had an active arrest warrant out of Las Animas County Colorado. The warrant was charging the above listed person with Failure to Appear. The individual was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail without incident.

02080003034 Death Investigation 4/14/08

Location  Paseo de Margarita    Victim: 15 year old female

On the early hours of April 14, 2008, Parents of the victim reported finding thier daughter unconcious and unresponsive.  Victim was a diabetic and her death did not appear to show any signs of foul play.  The investigation will be treated as a natural cuased death.

Victim reported that unknown persons entered his home and took two air compressors.  Entry was gained by forced entry to the southside door.

0208003035 Shooting from a motor vehicle 4/14/08

No suspects at this time

Victim reported that two gunshots were fired in the direction of his horses.  The shots were fired rom a light brown sports utility vehicle.  No injuries or property damage was caused by this action.

0208003066 DWI 04-14-08

Locatuion: 3357 Cerrillos Rd. SFNM

Arrested: Arlene Torres DOB: 05-27-78

On the above date at approximately 112:09am Ms Torres while driving her vehicle onto the above location, failed to yield the right of way to a Santa Fe City Police Officer.  Ms. Torres crossed over three lanes of traffic causing a crash with the officer.  Ms Torres displayed several signes of impairment and had an ordor of intoxicant upon her person.  located inside of the vehicle was an opened bottle of Rum and Tequilla.  Ms Torres also had drug parphernalia inside of the vehicle  The priliminary breath test revealed a .08 blood alcohol content.  She was arrested and transported to the Santa Fe County Detention Center.

Arrested: Jose Santos DOB: 03-05-67

On the above date, at approximately 2:05am, the above named suspect was reported to the RECC as a reckless driver.  Upon locating the vehicle officer attempted to conduct a tradffic stop.  The suspect continued to travel north crossing over both center and right fog line.  Upon making contact with the driver, he displayed several signs of impairment.  Driver had a blood alcohol content of .14 and was transported and booked at the Santa Fe County Detention Center.

Victim 46 year old female

Suspect: Male Subject age unknown

Sometime between 1100  and 1200 HRS. The victims residence was burglarized. Forced entery was made by kicking in the front door, Once inside suspect rummaged through residence victim reports nothing appears to be missing. Victim suspects former worker she recently fired as a vehicle fitting the description of what suspect drives was seen in the area on todays date.

Victim's email address was phished and spammed and unknown persons began using victims email address to solicit funds for an African citizen to help him return home in . The funds were never exchanged or obtained,  in the amount of $3700.00. 

Case#0208003051 Criminal Damage (Felony)

Location of Incident: Sombrillo Elementary 

Damaged valued at $6500.00 to the front gate.

Sometime between 4/13-14/08 Unknown motor vehicle crashed into the front gate of the Sobrillo Elementary School. No suspect information available at this time.
