Victim: Middle to Elderly Aged Male - ID is pending
The body of a middle aged to elderly aged male was discovered off of Las Estrellas Road in the La Cienega area. The cause of death is not known at this time and the case is actively under investigation. An autopsy will be performed on the victim and the cause of death will be determined. Detectives are working to identify the victim.

The victim reported that a person forged a check from the victim's account in the amount of $45,000.00 which was not authorized. The case is under investigation.

A 57 year old male reported that a former business associate filed a lien on the his property for money not owed and then demanded a payoff of $17,400.00 in order to remove the lien and have the property returned. This case is under investigation.

Arrested: Albert Fugere, 55 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after the driver failed to maintain lane of travel on the highway. The driver was found to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs. The driver was arrested and later submitted to a breath alcohol test. The results were .16, .13 and .15 respectively. The driver was booked accordingly into the County Jail.

A 15 year old male juvenile fled from a residence after a social worker was at the residence to conduct a home visit. The juvenile had not returned and was entered into NCIC as a missing person/runaway.

On the above date the victim reported that someone broke in to his storage shed and stole two chainsaws valued at $600.00. . This occured sometime between 02:00 AM and 06:00 AM on 05-06-09. There are no suspects at this time.

Stolen: Impact Gun, Chain Saw, Air Nailer, Air Stapler
The victim reported that on 5/5/09 between 5:45 AM and 5:00 PM, unknown person(s) burglarized a shed and the above items were stolen. The shed lock was broken and the structure was unsecured at the time of the incident.

Charges: Child Abuse, Battery Against a Household Member
Deputies responded to a domestic dispute and learned that the above named suspect arrived home intoxicated and an altercation ensued. The suspect battered his girlfriend and her daughter. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly into the County Jail.

Arrested: Richardo Chavez, 32 yoa
Charges: Breaking & Entering, Criminal Trespass
The victim reported that she arrived home and found the suspect sitting on her steps. The victim told the suspect to leave and he stepped aside to allow the victim to open the door to the residence. The suspect then forced his way through the door and sat on her couch and refused to leave. Deputies arrived and the suspect was arrested accordingly.

A witness reported seeing a male breaking into the neighbors residence and removing items from inside. Deputies responded but did not locate the suspect at that time. An investigation was conducted and is still ongoing. Items stolen were electronics and possibly DVD movies. Total value is unknown.
